"Daniel Craig returns as James Bond, 007 in " NO TIME TO DIE. " Released in the United Kingdom on April 3, 2020, and in the United States on April 8, 2020," said a brief publication in the official 007 account on Twitter

The filming of the new movie, previously known only as Bond 25, was held in April in Jamaica, where producers announced that Oscar winner Rami Malek will play the villain in the latest film of the lucrative British spy franchise.

Craig confirmed in 2017 that he would act again for the fifth time as the secret agent 007.

The producers said Tuesday that the new film would see Bond enjoy a quiet life in Jamaica after leaving active duty before an old CIA friend shows up to ask for help.

Bond embarks on a mission to rescue a kidnapped scientist, leaving him on the trail of a mysterious villain armed with dangerous new technology, they added.

Initially, "No Time to Die" was expected to hit theaters on November 2019, but that date was delayed to 2020 after Britain's Danny Boyle retired as director and was replaced by American Cary Joji Fukunaga.

The film is also being shot in London, Italy, and Norway. Actors who repeat their roles will include Ralph Fiennes as 'M', Naomie Harris as ' Moneypenny' and Ben Whishaw as 'Q'.

The Bond franchise is one of the most lucrative in the world. "Specter" , of 2015, raised 880 million dollars at the global box office, while "Skyfall" won in 2012 more than 1 billion dollars globally.
